Eating ‘clean’ can be difficult, but it certainly doesn’t have to be boring! When I had to overhaul my diet to get ready for the competitive Bikini stage, I started playing around with recipes to find suitable ways to keep my clean way of eating interesting.
If I craved something specific I would try to make it, but would substitute the less healthy ingredients with better ones. I had more flops than successes at first, but I didn’t give up. There were some real disasters along the way – many dishes were completely inedible. But through this process of experimentation and trial and error, I eventually landed up with healthy variants of popular recipes that were just as tasty.
